Square Kufic Ayatul Kursi in 3D
Taking the modern nature of Square Kufic calligraphy to ‘the next level’. As opposed to the traditional application found within parquetry. An example of which can be found here.
The dual nature of this style really brings out the character on the calligraphy enhancing the visual experience. This technique has been commonly used in tilework across many masjids in Iran. Colours, Size and Composition can be personalised.
The Calligraphy itself starts from the bottom right corner of the piece and spirals inwards. The Nuqta (Dots) are rotated at 45 degrees.
Calligraphy finished with a limestone texture, with the Nuqta gilded with 24ct Gold on a fumed oak backing surface finished with a solid wooden frame.
